Have you ever wondered why there is so much pain on this planet? Why is there so much turmoil, anger, and negativity among people?
The Lack of Real Connection
What is missing is real connection and communication. People are not connected with their spirituality, they do not listen to their bodies, they do not know themselves, and as a result, they cannot truly connect with others. They have lost the ability to be present in their lives. This disconnection leads to a state of constant unrest and negativity.
The Prosocial Nature of Humans
Deep down, humans are prosocial beings. The more they move away from prosocial behaviors, the unhappier they become. That is, the more they move away from caring for and helping others, the greater the loneliness and pain they experience, because they lose connection with their true selves. Alienation from human nature leads to internal and external misery.
The Inadequacy of Traditional Education
Education until recently has tried to fill children’s minds with knowledge and skills but it did not teach them how to empty their minds when needed or how to organize their thoughts to maintain balance. They were not taught about the amazing potential hidden within each person but were thrown into the arena of competition and the pursuit of success without the tools to relieve stress and regulate their emotions. Until recently, there was no effort to cultivate the inner person.
The Importance of Self-Awareness
The ancient Greek philosophers spoke of “knowing thyself,” which is essential for a person to truly understand who they are, what makes them happy, what their needs are, what their weaknesses are, what their amazing potential is, to set goals, and to achieve them. When a person attains significant self-awareness, they become more compassionate because they can understand others, develop their empathy, and control their thoughts and emotions. Only when a person communicates properly with themselves can they truly communicate with those around them.
Education as a Tool for a Better Future
All these things should be taught in schools. By giving our children this knowledge, we can certainly create a better world. Education should not be limited to imparting knowledge but should also include cultivating inner balance and self-awareness.
The Role of Coaching
This is the purpose of coaching: to help people discover themselves and the incredible potential within them, supporting them to achieve their dreams and become calmer and happier. Coaching offers tools and techniques for developing self-awareness, empathy and emotional balance.
Conclusion
The negativity and pain we see around us result from a lack of real connection with ourselves and others. Through self-awareness, proper education and coaching, we can regain the ability to connect meaningfully and live a fuller and happier life. Change starts with understanding and accepting ourselves and this understanding is the key to building a better world.
